Are you or your school, university, group, or church looking to make a big difference, travel, and help people in need? Then, sign up for a fulfilling Hearts In Motion service trip and share in a life-changing experience that will leave an indelible mark on your heart and soul. We will customize a trip based on your group's skills and expertise or match an individual to a planned trip that best suits their needs. You do not have to be a medical student or a medical professional to come on a service trip. Just a willingness to pitch in and help!  Trip registrations will remain open until 2 weeks before the first day of the trip.  After that date, registrations will be closed and we cannot add any other team members.

All nurses, surgical techs and medical professionals are invited to join us as we provide orthopedic surgery for those in need.  All are welcome to join our construction crew as we build a home for a family in need. Firefighters from the United Stateas will also be providing vital training for their counterparts in Guatemala.

Eye Glass, Helping Babies Breathe/Mothers Survive, and Sewing Trip- GUATEMALA

Join our eyeglass team provide eyeglass clinics for those in need and our Helping Babies Breathe/Helping Mothers Survive team as they help to train midwives, nurses and EMTs.  A small team will be providing training for seniors on sewing projects that they can use to improve their lives.

Music and Therapy in Motion, St. Patrick Adults and General Medical Trip- GUATEMALA
January 18-25, 2025

The therapy program and music programs are teaming up to provide a multidisciplinary experience to the people of Guatemala. We are looking for physical or occupational therapists as well as musicians, music therapists, and dancers to join us on this trip. Join adults from St. Patrick parish in Louisville, KY as they journey to Guatemala to serve and spend time learning about the work of Hearts in Motion.  

We will also have a small team of medical providers helping to provide "pop up" medical clinics in communities in need.

ST. PATRICK YOUTH MISSION TRIP- GUATEMALA
June 20-29, 2024

St. Patrick Church Youth Ministry is traveling to Guatemala with HIM to build a new home for one of the families in our daycare program in Pueblo Modelo.  To register for this trip, please reach out to Aaron Frazita.    

 

Music Camp, Education and Construction Guatemala Trip
July 12-20, 2025

This multifaceted trip will consist of Music Camp, Education workshops, and Construction. Volunteers who play guitar, drums, bass, piano, and/or sing are invited to join the Music In Motion program for our 4th Music Camp. We are also looking for volunteers in the field of education who would like to participate in workshops with educators and principals from schools in Guatemala (this portion of the trip will be organized by Dr. Erica Dávila of Lewis University), as well as volunteers who want to work as part of a construction team to build a home for a child, and their family, from our sponsorship program. MATERNAL/INFANT HEALTH MISSION TRIP- GUATEMALA
July 19-26, 2025

This interdisciplinary trip of gynecologists, pediatricians, midwives, physical and occupational therapists will spend the week providing physical and emotional care for pregnant as well as postpartum mothers and their babies. Additionally, we will be providing educational sessions for local providers of various disciplines in order to promote a sustainable culture of care for mother’s and their babies.
